Shamcey Supsup, MJ Lastimosa share Christmas plans
With the holiday season in full swing, beauty queens Shamcey Supsup and MJ Lastimosa revealed their Christmas plans, which centered around spending quality time with family and friends, respectively.
“Christmas plans, just spending it with the family. We’ve been busy kasi the past few weeks, months. So Christmas is parang to have peace and quiet with them,” Supsup told INQUIRER.net during the recent red carpet premiere of “Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital.”
The Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up is vying for a seat as councilor in Pasig City in the 2025 midterm elections, which she revealed is the very thing she looks forward to in the coming new year.
“Well, I’m running for the elections, so magiging busy na by January. I’m very excited for the opportunity for me to help my fellow Pasigueno, kaya for sure busy ang 2025,” she said.
Meanwhile, Lastimosa shared that it’s her first time celebrating Christmas, although through work, as she intends to promote her MMFF movie alongside other cast members Enrique Gil, Jane de Leon, Alexa Miro, and Rob Gomez, among others.

The Miss Universe Philippines 2014 underscored that she grew up not celebrating Christmas but only New Year’s.
“Lumaki ako ‘yung religion ko dati hindi kami nagcecelebrate ng Christmas, so medyo nakasanayan ko na po, and my dad is from Saudi Arabia. Childhood, religious beliefs na nagpalaki sakin hindi kami nagcecelebrate ng Christmas; more on New Year’s talaga ‘yung holiday celebration namin,” she shared.

Lastimosa earlier expressed disbelief after learning that her name was dragged into an “infidelity” scandal involving influencer Small Laude, her husband entrepreneur Philip Laude, and a woman named Precious Lara, stressing that she is not aware of the issue.
