Miss Supranational Asia and Oceania 2024 Alethea Ambrosio and Mister Supranational 2024 second runner-up Brandon Espiritu will be away for the holidays, but not to escape the chaotic Christmas rush in Manila.

While many overseas Filipinos come back home to celebrate with their families, the two titleholders have to fly out of the country to do the same and be with their loved ones for Christmas.

“What I’m looking forward to this Christmas is to see my family. My family lives abroad, and I’m alone here,” Ambrosio told INQUIRER.net on the sidelines of Miss Supranational 2024 Harashta Haifa Zahra’s recent press conference in Manila.

“I’m visiting them in France this December, so I’ll be spending Christmas and New Year with them. And I have three younger sisters, 14, 10 and 4, so I’ll be seeing them; they’re very excited; we’ll be reunited. So this Christmas, my wish has been granted right away,” added the Bulakenya beauty.

Espiritu is also excited to be with his father for the holidays. “This Christmas I’ll just spend time with my dad. I haven’t seen him in so long,” said the entrepreneur and content creator.

“But he’s visiting the Philippines from Guam. So him, my stepmom, we might go to Japan. So I’m just looking forward to seeing them; I really miss them,” he added.

Ambrosio’s successor as The Miss Philippines-Supranational, Tarah Valencia, however, does not need to leave the country to be with family for the holidays.

“Every Christmas I’m always with my family; we’re staying in Pangasinan. We just share meals together; that’s what we always do. We bond with each other and with my uncles, aunties and cousins. So that’s what I’m really looking forward to — to really reunite with the whole family,” Valencia shared.

Part-Filipino Miss Supranational Japan 2024 Yuki Sonoda was also in Manila to welcome Zahra at the press conference and shared with INQUIRER.net that she will be staying in the Philippines for the holidays.

“I won’t be able to be with my family because I have work. I have a movie coming, so I’m filming the movie,” said the Miss Supranational 2024 Top 25 finisher.

“At the same time, me and my mother decided to do some charity work for the less fortunate, those affected by the typhoon. So I want to give back this Christmas,” Sonoda shared.
