Anthony Jennings confirms split with longtime GF

After months of speculations, Anthony Jennings confirmed that he and his non-showbiz girlfriend Jam Villanueva are no longer together, saying their breakup happened months ago.

The actor disclosed this after he was asked by showbiz reporter Allan Sancon about the split, on the sidelines of the media conference for the action TV series “Incognito.”

“Months ago na rin kaming hiwalay ni Jam (Jam and I broke up months ago),” Jennings said, stressing that they had “personal issues,” which he opted to keep from the public.

Jennings further noted that Villanueva is not a celebrity, appealing to fans to respect her private life.

“Ako ‘yung may pagkukulang do’n. Problema ko ‘yon and dapat ko ‘yon ayusin mag-isa,” he added. (I was the one who had shortcomings. That’s my problem and I should fix it on my own.)

He also addressed those “bothering” Villanueva and his love-team partner Maris Racal, whose name has been linked by some netizens to the pair’s split.

“Magkaibigan lang po kami [ni Maris] and sana matigil na rin ‘yung mga gano’ng issues,” Jennings said. (Maris and I are just friends, so I hope the issues about us will already stop.)

Jennings and Villanueva, who were together for five years, were first hounded by breakup rumors in September after netizens noticed the latter’s social media posts about heartbreaks and betrayal.

Earlier this month, Villanueva also intrigued netizens after she alluded to a cheater ex-boyfriend and his workmate who supposedly crossed their work boundaries.
