The holiday magic lives on at this year’s McDonald’s Ride-Thru Christmas Light Show
Christmas is undoubtedly one of the most magical times of the year, and further adding to its sparkle are the enchanting Ride-Thru Christmas Light Shows that’ll take over various McDonald’s stores this year.
Last November 8, McDonald’s Philippines officially commenced the lights show series with a grand launch at McDonald’s Quezon Avenue Ligaya. From the ceiling to the floor, the McDonald’s Drive-Thru brought on magical holiday vibes with a festive Barrio Pasko-themed lights display unveiled to the public for the first time at the grand launch.
Along with McDonald’s Quezon Avenue Ligaya, three other McDonald’s stores across the country also illuminated their facade with Ride-Thru Christmas Light Shows last November 8. Each light show location featured a different holiday theme, namely Snowy Mountain for McDonald’s Pioneer Reliance in Mandaluyong, Candy Cane Lane for McDonald’s Paseo Arcenas in Cebu, and Neon Dreamworld for McDonald’s Maa Diversion in Davao.
The festivities also continued at McDonald’s Clarkgate in Pampanga with its whimsical transformation into a Magic Toyland while McDonald’s Southwoods in Laguna wowed the crowd with the launch of its Winter Wonderland-themed display and McDonald’s McKinley West in Taguig dressed as a Gingerbread House to level up the holiday delight.
These light shows can be enjoyed by the public at the seven designated McDonald’s stores from 6pm to 5am until January 5.
The Ride-Thru Christmas Light Show, which has become an annual tradition for McDonald’s Philippines since 2021, promises a bigger and better celebration as it reaches its 4th year this 2024.
“What’s different this year is we have made the experience more accessible to more McDonald’s fans since this is the first time we’re making it available in Visayas and Mindanao,” shares McDonald’s Philippines Marketing Director, Ashley Santillan-Delgado.
Aside from the Ride Thru Lights Show’s grand reveal, the grand launch at McDonald’s Quezon Avenue Ligaya also featured live music from San Lorenzo Grand Chorale and a special appearance from McDonald’s Chief Happiness Officer, Ronald McDonald.
What’s in store for the holidays at McDo
In addition to the Ride-Thru Christmas Light Show, another yuletide treat you can enjoy from McDonald’s this season are its newest holiday menu offerings: the tasty and flavorful Sweet BBQ Glazed Chicken McDo and two decadent McFlurry flavors, Hazelnut McFlurry and Tiramisu McFlurry.
These special holiday treats are now available at McDonald’s stores nationwide starting November 15.
Last October, the fast food giant also released their first-ever line of reusable holiday cups with four vibrant and unique designs for their 2024 Holiday Christmas Collection. Simply add P79 to your favorite Extra Value Meal to score one reusable holiday cup, which is also ideal for gifting because they come in individual boxes.
“At McDonald’s, our reason every season is to make every visit feel special—so that everyone who walks through our stores and are greeted by our crew, or anyone who drives through our stores and experiences the lights show, they are able to experience the holiday cheer,” shares Santillan-Delgado.
With the picturesque Ride-Thru Christmas Light Shows in seven stores across the country, delicious new treats, and special reusable cups just in time for the festive season, McDonald’s truly brings an extra sprinkle of Christmas magic and cheer to every Filipino’s dining experience nationwide.
