South Korean actor Song Joong Ki and his wife, British actress Katy Louise Saunders, have welcomed a new addition to their family.

Joong Ki took to his fan cafe on Wednesday, Nov. 20 to share the news on the arrival of their new baby girl, whom the couple welcomed in Rome.

“I’m currently in Rome, and it’s been just over a year since I met my first child here. I’m incredibly grateful to announce that we’ve been blessed with another beautiful baby. Our lovely princess was born healthy, and both my wife and our baby are doing well and resting,” he wrote, as quoted by South Korean outlets.

Earlier in July, Joong Ki’s agency HighZium Studio confirmed Saunders’ pregnancy in a brief statement via Korean media outlet Sports Chosun, saying that the pair is set to become parents of two without specifying how many months the actress has been expecting.

Five months after tying the knot last year, the “Vicenzo” actor announced that they welcomed their first child, a son, saying that it has always been “his dream building a family.”

After making his acting debut in the 2008 film “A Frozen Flower,” Joong Ki further rose to fame after landing the roles in “Descendents of the Sun,” “The Innocent Man,” and “Reborn Rich,” among others.

Joong Ki was previously married to South Korean superstar Song Hye Kyo for two years before their divorce was finalized in 2019.

The former couple previously co-starred in “Descendents of the Sun,” which became a global hit.

Meanwhile, Saunders is known for her roles in the 2003 “The Lizzie Mcguire” movie and “The Borgia.”
