Sylvia Sanchez does ‘lola duties’ for first grandson; Ria Atayde grateful
Sylvia Sanchez could not seem to contain her excitement as she happily attended to her “lola duties” for her first grandchild, the son of her daughter Ria Atayde with Zanjoe Marudo.
Sanchez looked elated as she shopped for her grandchild at a mall, repeatedly going through the clothing racks for good finds, as seen in a video on her Instagram page on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
Sanchez’s companion can be heard persuading her in the background to shop for herself at a luxury store.
“Ayoko. [Gusto ko] pang-babies,” the actress replies. (I don’t want. I only want [to buy] items for babies.)
In the caption, she further said, “It feels so good! See you tomorrow, apo,” adding the hashtags “lola duties,” “beyond happiness,” “blessing,” “my little angel,” “my little boss,” and “thank you Lord.”

Atayde then expressed her gratitude and appreciation for her mother via the comments section. Marudo thanked Sanchez as well via his Instagram Stories.
Aside from the couple, fans and actress KC Concepcion also admired the first-time grandmother.
Atayde and Marudo, who tied the knot on the day of the actress’ 32nd birthday in March, welcomed their firstborn son last Sept. 23. The pair has yet to reveal the child’s face and name.
