Carla Abellana shared that her last hospitalization almost led to sepsis given the complications in her kidney stones and urinary tract infection (UTI), but assured that she’s now well and has been cleared to return to work.

In an interview with “24 Oras,” Abellana said she has been confined for three days until she “begged” to go home.

As defined by the Mayo Clinic, sepsis is a dramatic drop in blood pressure that can “progress to septic shock.” When the damage is severe, it can lead to death.

Last month, the “Rosalinda” star took to Instagram to share that she has been hospitalized due to an undisclosed condition, as she also appealed for prayers.

At the time, Abellana remarked that she had been suffering from “so much pain” and “discomfort.”

Meanwhile, the 38-year-old actress also voiced out her opinion on the viral issue regarding a Tagaytay restaurant that denied entry to a pet owner with an Aspin (asong Pinoy) because of the latter’s “breed and size.”
