Derek Ramsay on rumors of having a mistress: ‘Tigil-tigilan niyo ako’

Derek Ramsay belied rumors that he has a mistress, lamenting that despite his distance from show biz, he’s still finding himself at the center of third-party issues.
“Wala na nga ako, ang dami pa ring intriga. Grabe. Sabi ko nga, ‘Tigil-tigilan niyo ako. Bakit ako pa rin?’ Tahimik lang ako,” he told Morly Alinio in a recent interview.
Ramsay, who’s now married to actress Ellen Adarna, underscored that controversies involving his marriage still irritate him.
“Dati nung nasa showbiz, ‘di ko na lang pinapansin pero ngayon I’m stepping away, nakakainis, na [ako] pa rin,” he said.
“Dapat sanay na tayo jan pero hindi ko pa rin maintindihan, bakit kapag third party, ako na naman. May asawa na nga ako. Ang dami dami rin naman dyang mga couples. Ako na naman lagi,” added the actor.

Also in the interview, Ramsay was asked about his opinion on the number of actors speaking out about their experience with sexual harassment, such as actors Sandro Muhlach and Gerald Santos.
Ramsay said that if it were to happen to him, he would fight back with an upper cut.
“Life is filled with choices. Ako hindi ako homophobe… I love the gay community pero with that said, just like anything, you have to respect my boundaries. Masyado kang akala mo magaganon mo ako or anything, ‘Ay, I won’t respect your boundaries, sapak.’”
“That’s disrespectful na kung nasabihan mo na siya ng, ‘Hey, ‘wag, ‘wag mo ako ganyanin tapos ginawa niya, ‘Ah susuntukin ko na talaga,’ Of course, sasabihin ko, ‘Hey sorry ha baka you get the wrong impression, that’s not me. Pero kapag tinuloy niya, that means wala nang respeto,” he added.
The “No Other Woman” actor then extended his sympathies to the victims of sexual harassment and said that he understood why they cannot speak about the abuse right away.
“It’s really, really sad as a father. Imagine mo anak mo ma-sexual harass na ganon. I wouldn’t know what to do or how I would react to seeing my baby get abused that way but for anyone who has experienced it, for me, my advice to you, you get the courage to speak out,” he explained.
“Kaya nga ang hirap for victims to speak out kasi baka gawin pa sila ‘yung masama. But it’s better to speak out than just keep quiet… Those people who preyed on young innocent kids should be punished,” continued the actor.
