Dominic Roque moves into new home, clarifies: ‘Renting only’

After revealing that he moved into a new home, Dominic Roque, in a quipping manner, clarified that he is only renting his new unit — seemingly in an effort to avoid speculations from the public.

The actor showed himself inside his new unit which was still empty, through his Instagram page on Thursday, Aug. 29.

He also shared via his Instagram Stories snaps of his belongings that were transferred from his previous home.

“New home,” he said in the caption, adding the hashtag “renting the unit ah” and a laughing face emoji.

In a separate story, Roque reiterated, “Renting only para sa mga…,” then added a laughing face emoji again.

While Roque did not expound on why he had to make a clarification about his new place, it can be recalled that the actor was earlier rumored to have a “politician benefactor” who supposedly owned the condominium unit where he resided at the time.

Such rumor, according to the actor’s legal team, was apparently picked up by netizens from the “malicious and baseless innuendos” made by veteran columnist Cristy Fermin in her vlog.

Roque’s camp then cited this as the basis of the cyber libel complaint he filed against Fermin in May at the Office of the City Prosecutor of Pasig City.

Meanwhile, Roque, in a recent interview, said he is moving forward with his life after his breakup with his former fiancée, actress Bea Alonzo.
