Jessy Mendiola, 31, fulfills childhood dream of learning ballet

Jessy Mendiola is finally learning ballet at 31, saying it was a dream she had nurtured since she was a child but could not do due to lack of financial resources.
The celebrity mom showed herself wearing black leotard and ballet shoes in a ballet studio, through her Instagram page on Sunday, Aug. 24.
“I’ve decided to chase an old dream of mine,” she said.
“When I was younger, we couldn’t afford ballet classes,” she recalled. “I remember watching other kids in their ballet outfits during a class at a dance studio in a mall in Makati. I kept telling myself ‘one day, magagawa rin kita.'”
Mendiola then reminded herself that it is never too late and that she is never too old to make her childhood dreams happen.
“Here’s to trying new things no matter how old (or late) you are, the most important thing is that you are happy and you are still willing to learn after all these years,” she stated.
“As a ballerina momma tayo ngayon, I can’t wait to dance with my little Rosie,” she added, referring to her daughter with her husband, actor-TV host Luis Manzano.

Among those who cheered for Mendiola via the comment section were her father-in-law, actor-TV host Edu Manzano, and her fellow mom Andi Eigenmann.

Mendiola and Luis first tied the knot in a civil wedding in 2021, then welcomed Rosie in December 2022. Two years later, the couple held a church wedding in Palawan last February.
