Francis Zamora belies dating rumors between daughter Amanda, Daniel Padilla

It was San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora’s turn to belie dating speculations between his daughter Amanda and Daniel Padilla, days after the former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate categorically shot down any romantic involvement with the actor.
While reiterating his role as Amanda’s father, Zamora cleared the allegations between his daughter and Padilla on the sidelines of a clinic launch in Greenhills, saying that the actor is his friend.
“Ang aking anak nga po ay nali-link kay Daniel Padilla. So bilang isang ama, gusto ko pong sabihin sa inyong lahat na hindi po totoo ‘yan. Si Amanda, my daughter, and Daniel are not linked in any way,” he told reporters.
(My child is being linked to Daniel Padilla. So as a father, I want to state that the rumors are not true. Amanda, my daughter, and Daniel are not linked in any way.)
The politician also debunked the veracity of photos and videos seemingly of his daughter and the “The Hows of Us” star which are being uploaded on social media.
“Definitely, ‘di ko po anak ‘yun, kung sakaling may mga viral photos na kumakalat,” he said. “To set the record straight, hindi po si Amanda at saka si Daniel Padilla, wala pong katotohanan ‘yan (Definitely, that’s not my daughter, if ever photos are circulating. To set the record straight, it’s not Amanda and Daniel Padilla. There’s no truth to that),” he said.
Without disclosing anyone in particular, Zamora said he’s “aware” of certain “showbiz personalities” linking Amanda and Daniel while reiterating that the actor-singer is just a family friend.
“Kung mayroon mang mga tao na nagsasabi na sila, ako na po ang nagsasabi na hindi po ‘yan totoo. I’m aware there are some showbiz personalities who are trying to link them… Wala pong katotohanan ‘yan,” he said. “At kung mayroon man na nagci-circulate na pictures trying to make it appear as if sila, ako na po ang nagsasabi na hindi po ‘yan totoo. Si Daniel Padilla po ay kaibigan ko.”
(If there are people who are insisting they’re together, I’ll be the one to say it’s not true. I’m aware some showbiz personalities are trying to link them but it’s false. There’s no truth to it. If photos are making it appear as if they’re together, I’ll be the one who will reiterate that it’s not true. Daniel Padilla is just a friend of ours.)
It can be recalled that Zamora officiated the wedding of Daniel’s brother JC and his non-showbiz partner Nathalia Valdivia last July.
Dating rumors between Amanda and Daniel were rife after entertainment insider Ogie Diaz claimed that the “La Luna Sang’gre” star is in a relationship with someone named Amanda. Meanwhile, netizens also claimed that Amanda and the actor-singer are indeed dating on social media.
The speculations were denied by Amanda in a statement on Instagram last July 30. Padilla, on the other hand, has yet to confirm nor deny the rumors.
