BINI meets global fans at KCON LA panel; interacts with Enhypen, KATSEYE

KCON LA 2024 was an unforgettable experience for BINI as they had the chance to meet their international fans at a panel discussion and interact with K-pop boy group Enhypen and global girl group KATSEYE.
BINI was included in the festival’s “Meet The Rising Stars: BINI” panel on Monday, July 29 (Philippine time) where international fans had the chance to know more about the P-pop girl group.
This came after the female octet performed their recent single “Cherry On Top” at KCON LA 2024’s “M Countdown” pre-show stage the day prior. The group’s leader Jhoanna, however, was absent in the event due to health-related issues.
One of the highlights of the panel was BINI talking about their experiences as female artists, as seen on @drussmycol’s X (formerly Twitter) page.
“It is indeed hard… I think for us, girls, since we all share similar experiences together and we go through these things together, it’s hard at times because there’s so many things that people [tell us what we should be]. But I guess what makes us, us and what we stick [with] is to be ourselves and be happy, sad, angry, or whatever version we’ll be,” she said.
“What matters is you and what you choose and value, which I think you should focus on,” she further added.

Another clip by @sapphicbiniii and @majoy_serva showed the members’ shocked expressions after a fan—who shared that she was accompanied by a “couple of producers who worked with BTS—asked if BINI was open to working with them.
The group then directed the question to Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi, who said it would be an “honor” for BINI to do so.

The girl group also shared glimpses of the panel discussion on their X page.

Successful fangirls
On the sidelines of the festival, BINI had the chance to join forces with the K-pop boy group Enhypen for the “XO (Only If You Say Yes)” dance challenge on Tiktok.
The short clip showed BINI members Colet, Stacey, and Sheena doing the song’s signature dance moves with Enhypen’s Sunoo, Jay, and Heeseung.

Sheena and Colet, who are known to be fans of Enhypen, were also ecstatic after receiving copies of the group’s recent album “Romance: Untold,” as seen on their respective accounts.

The girl group also had the opportunity to get chummy with the global girl group KATSEYE, where fellow Filipina Sophia Laforteza is one of its members.
In the 31-second clip, BINI members Colet, Aiah, and Stacey collaborated with KATSEYE’s Sophia and Lara Rajagopalan to do the “Cherry on Top” dance challenge.

BINI made history as the first P-pop group to perform at KCON LA 2024, an annual festival and concert that is considered one of the biggest K-pop gatherings in the world. Organized by CJ E&M, the event aims to promote the influence of K-pop which has lately opened its doors to global groups.
