Cheer Factor: 3 Filipino films make it to Swiss filmfest

Three Filipino films have made it to the lineup of the 64th Locarno International Film Festival in Switzerland. Raya Martin’s “Buenas Noches, España” will be screened in the Out of Competition section and Vincent Sandoval’s “Señorita” will be featured in Filmmakers of the Present.

Martin, a juror for Filmmakers of the Present, will also present his video installation, “Boxing in the Philippine Islands.” One of the world’s A-list film fests, the Locarno event is scheduled August 3 to 13. Bayani San Diego Jr.
