Kathryn Bernardo, Cedrick Juan among 40th Luna Awards nominees
Kathryn Bernardo and Cedrick Juan are among the lead nominees in the 40th Luna Awards, which are given annually by the Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP) to recognize the outstanding individuals and achievements in the Philippine film industry.
The FAP announced the full list of nominees on Facebook on Tuesday, July 1. Joining Bernardo (“A Very Good Girl”) in the Best Actress category are Marian Rivera (“Rewind”), Charlie Dizon (“Third World Romance”), Vilma Santos (“When I Met You in Tokyo”) and Maricel Soriano (“In His Mother’s Eyes”).
On the other hand, Dingdong Dantes (“Rewind”), Rodrick Palaute (“In His Mother’s Eyes”), Carlo Aquino (“Third World Romance”) and Christoper de Leon (“When I Met You in Tokyo”) joined Juan (“GomBurZa”) in the race for Best Actor.
Meanwhile, competing in the Best Supporting Actress category are Angel Aquino (“A Very Good Girl”), Chie Filomeno (“A Very Good Girl”), Ana Abad Santos (“Third World Romance”), Iyah Mina (“Third World Romance”) and Cassy Legaspi (“When I Met You in Tokyo”).
The nominees for Best Supporting Actor are Elijah Canlas (“GomBurZa”), Piolo Pascual (“GomBurZa”), LA Santos (“In His Mother’s Eyes”), Pepe Herrera (“Rewind”) and Archi Adamos (“Third World Romance”).
