Atasha Muhlach reveals having only P100 daily school allowance
“Eat Bulaga” host Atasha Muhlach revealed that when she was a student, her daily allowance was only P100.
Recently in the “Peraphy” segment of “Eat Bulaga,” Vic Sotto asked Muhlach how much was her school allowance, after financial coach Chinkee Tan gave his saving advice to students.
“Ikaw ba, magkano baon mo noon (How about you, how much was your school allowance before)?” asked Sotto. “100 pesos,” Muhlach replied.
In disbelief, Tan asked if it was in dollars. Muhlach replied, “Hindi, pesos. Seryoso (Seriously, it’s pesos).”
“Wow! Grabe ha. Sino mga magulang mo? Parang gusto ko ipa-barangay (Wow! That’s terrible. Who are your parents? I feel like I want to report them to the village authorities),” the financial coach then joked, drawing laughter from the audience.

In an interview with Vice Ganda last February, Aga shared that his twins knew how to handle their finances as they went abroad for their college studies and experienced being independent.
“Akala ng iba, iniisip nila (everyone is assuming) they’re rich kids, spoiled kids. No, no, no,” Aga said, adding that when his children got short on money, they were not allowed to call their parents for extra.
“So now, even with them growing up, ‘di sila humihingi ng pera (they don’t ask us for money). Nahihiya sila (they are embarrassed to do so),” he continued.
Meanwhile, Atasha previously revealed that she got her first access to mobile phones only when she turned 17 years old, admitting she’s still an amateur at navigating through social media even now that she is 22.
The Muhlach family is set to star in their first sitcom, “Da Pers Family,” premiering this May on TV5.
