Ogie Alcasid, Regine Velasquez’s son Nate finishes grade school
Proud parents Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez could not help but be emotional as their only son Nate graduated from grade school, and is now moving up to junior high school.
The singers each celebrated their child’s milestone, showing his graduation photo through their respective Instagram pages on Thursday, April 25.
“And just like that he is moving up to junior high school. Nakakaiyak,” Alcasid said.
Addressing Nate, he continued, “Fly high my son. Love you so much.”

Fellow celebrities Melai Cantiveros, Vicki Belo, Jessa Zaragoza and Kuh Ledesma were among those who cheered for Nate and congratulated him through the comments section.
Michelle van Eimeren, Alcasid’s former wife, also sent her greetings to Nate, saying she’s proud of him.
Alcasid and Velasquez tied the knot in Batangas in December 2010, and welcomed Nate a year after their wedding.
Velasquez earlier underscored that more than her decades of career in the music and showbiz industry, their 12-year-old son will serve as her “legacy.”
“Para po sa akin, ang akin pong legacy ay ang aking anak (For me, my legacy is my son) because people will forget about me, will forget about my voice, and what I’ve done in the industry, but my son will always remember me. So my son is my legacy,” she said.
