Philmar Alipayo pays tribute to Jaclyn Jose: ‘We will love you forever’
Philmar Alipayo paid tribute to his fiancée Andie Eigenmann’s mother, multi-awarded actress Jaclyn Jose, who passed away on March 2.
On March 6, the experienced surfer reposted the Cannes Film Festival’s tribute to the seasoned actress on Instagram and penned his personal thank-you message, originally written in Cebuano.
As translated, he said, “We will miss you, especially the kids. Thank you for all the time that you cared for us and for loving us. We love you and we will love you forever.”
In her interview with Ogie Diaz, uploaded on YouTube before she died, the “Ma Rosa” star revealed that she did not warn Alipayo not to hurt her daughter because she knew he wouldn’t do it in the first place.
“Hindi, kasi alam ko si Philmar hindi niya sasaktan si Andi. Alam ko, mahal na mahal niya yung anak ko,” she remarked.

Jose also revealed the promise Alipayo made to her when he started dating her only daughter, “na hindi niya sasaktan emotionally and physically (that he won’t hurt her emotionally and physically).”
Meanwhile, Eigenmann’s first partner, Jake Ejercito, who’s the father of her firstborn, also paid tribute to the late veteran actress, as he credited Jose for his having survived the early stages of fatherhood.
Alipayo and Eigenmann got engaged in 2020 and are currently raising their two kids together.
