Luis Manzano surprised Jessy Mendiola with second wedding proposal

Over a week after their second wedding, Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola released their prenup video and revealed that the TV host also had a second engagement proposal for his wife.

In the video entitled “LUIS & JESSIE and ROSIE” on Mendiola’s YouTube channel, the pair was seen standing by the beach when Manzano popped the question.

“Because I never really got to propose to you, ‘di ba? That’s why…,” he told Mendiola while getting the ring from his pocket. He then bent on one knee and asked, “Wowow, will you marry me?”

An emotional Mendiola initially quipped, “No, charing (joking),” then said, “Of course.”

After getting a yes, Manzano expressed his love for the actress, saying, “Ilang years na tayo but tomorrow is a new day for us. Thank you for considering me to spend the rest of your life with you. And I would do it over and over again with you.”

Manzano and Mendiola were four years into their relationship when they announced their engagement in 2020. At the time, a jewelry company stirred controversy over the actress’ engagement ring after it claimed that proper credit was not given to them.

Mendiola, in response, revealed that the proposal did not surprise her because her friend from the jewelry company actually showed her the ring prior to their engagement—while her relationship with Manzano was on the rocks.

The couple then had a civil wedding in 2021 at a luxury resort in Lipa, Batangas. After over a year, they welcomed Rosie in December 2022.

The actress announced their church wedding plans earlier this month, saying that it would be a destination wedding. The pair then held their second wedding, a church ceremony, in Coron, Palawan last Feb. 15.
