While Babao did not expound on his post, this noticeably came amid the criticisms against Vice President Sara Duterte who is being questioned for seeking P500 million in confidential funds for the Office of the Vice President (OVP) and P150 million for the Department of Education (DepEd), when both offices have no direct defense and security mandates necessitating such expenses.

Furthermore, Duterte came under fire for spending P125 million in confidential funds over 11 days in 2022 even if the OVP did not have an appropriation for confidential expenses.  /ra
