G Tongi alludes to fans who barged into Lea Salonga’s dressing room, thanks those who followed protocols
G Tongi, the co-producer of “Here Lies Love” which stars Lea Salonga, reminded fans of the theater protocols that need to be followed as she seemingly addressed the recent incident in which fans had barged into the Broadway singer’s dressing room.
Salonga earlier aired her dismay after fans who claimed they were acquainted with G Tongi approached her in her dressing room and asked for a photo opportunity. According to the singer, the fans were already “escorted out of the building” after they rushed on her, but that the individuals returned to the venue.
Salonga noted that she initially gave her fans the “benefit of the doubt” after saying they were “friends” with G Tongi, but the singer was later informed that the show’s production staff had “no idea” who the fans were.
Through her Facebook page last July 18, G Tongi shared a screenshot of her Threads post in which she appeared to have alluded to the incident, instructing fans to proceed to the designated area if they want to meet the musical cast.
“Thank you so much to everyone in the Filipino community who has come out to watch ‘Here Lies Love’ from all over the world to support! We really appreciate everyone who followed our safety protocols for our artists,” G Tongi said.

“Bingo!” the actress replied.
G Tongi also shared the post of vocalist-producer Annie Nepomuceno, who showed a photo of her, G Tongi and two other companions with Salonga.
“Ganito dapat—on the list, in the designated area, kasama si G Tongi kahit photobomber [at] hindi name drop lang,” Nepomuceno captioned her post, which had G Tongi nodding in agreement and saying, “Best post ever!”
Meanwhile, Christopher Carpila, the uploader of the dressing-room-barging incident, has said he will not apologize for what happened as he believes he did not do anything wrong. /ra
