WATCH: Jane De Leon charms P-pop group Alamat in ‘Day and Night’ music video
Jane De Leon traded her gold-plated superhero gear for a mermaid tail and mythological-inspired ensemble at the music video for “Day and Night,” which is the latest track of P-pop boy group Alamat.
The actress took on the role of Magindara, a mythical mermaid believed to inhabit the waters of Bicol, who caught Alamat’s attention, as seen in the music video uploaded on the latter’s official YouTube channel last Wednesday, June 14.

The first scene of the music video showed De Leon swimming up to shore before seemingly growing a pair of legs, which turned her into a human. The video then shifted to the actress smiling in curiosity while Alamat’s Taneo, Mo, Jao, Tomas, R-Ji, and Alas wave at her, while they were holding letters that spelled the word, “Mabuhay.”
The actress’ human form is a far cry from her sea creature persona, as she wore a dark blue dress and Tboli brass accessories. Her journey as a human ends at the last part of the video, as she returns to the water.
