With July 4 over, Philly turns attention to Jay-Z

PHILADELPHIA — Now that Philadelphia has cleaned up from its massive July Fourth concert, officials are turning their attention to the next big outdoor show.

Jay-Z’s “Made In America” festival is scheduled for Labor Day weekend.

The city is working to downplay safety concerns following a triple shooting near the Independence Day festivities.

The two-day “Made In America” concert featuring Jay-Z and Pearl Jam will be held in the same location. City officials say they are just beginning to plan for the event.

Logistical details have been hard to come by since the show was announced in May. Only 18 of 28 planned performers have been named.
