WATCH: Judy Ann Santos, Ryan Agoncillo get first COVID-19 jabs, urge public to get theirs too

Longtime couple Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo are now among the celebrities who have recently gotten their COVID-19 vaccines.

Santos shared short clips of her and Agoncillo getting their first doses of the vaccines via Instagram yesterday, June 21, as they encourage the public to get theirs too.

“First jab! [flexed bicelps emoji] pabakuna na po tayo.. para sa mga mahal natin sa buhay at para may panlaban tayo sa bawat strain ng [COVID-19],” Santos said.

The post came with a sweet photo of the couple, as well as two videos showing Santos and Agoncillo each receiving their vaccines.

Santos and Agoncillo got their vaccines under the  vaccination program for movie industry workers of the Metro Manila Development Authority, organizer of the Metro Manila Film Festival, in cooperation with the Movie Workers Welfare Foundation.

Actors and other movie industry workers are classified as “economic frontliners” included in the A4 category of the country’s vaccination priority list.

“[Mas] nakakakampante po ng loob ang pagpapabakuna kesa maniwala sa mga naririnig nating sabi sabi at haka haka sa paligid natin,” Santos emphasized.

(It is more comforting to be vaccinated instead of just listening to rumors and speculations around us.)

Agoncillo likewise shared on Instagram a photo of him and Santos after they got their vaccines, asking, “Does this count as a date?”

Other celebrities who have also been vaccinated against the virus include Maine Mendoza, Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera, Kris Aquino, Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson, among others.  /ra
