Coworkers not surprised by hunky star’s frugal ways
Leery Artist (LA) is one of the more popular celebrities of his generation. And while he didn’t quite hit it big as some of his peers, he’s not without regular projects and endorsements. He’s also known to enjoy the finer things in life.
One time, during shooting, LA’s costars told him that they were planning a surprise for another cast member who happened to be celebrating his birthday that same day. A nice meal would do, they said.
LA liked the idea and gave them the thumbs up. Sounds good, he said.
The surprise went well. The actors and production crew all had their fill of the food they ordered.
The revelry eventually wound down. And then, it was time to pass around the proverbial envelope, so that everyone could pitch in. LA’s turn came. He dug into his pocket and handed out literal spare change.
Of course, it’s entirely up to the person how much he or she wants to contribute. Still, some observers couldn’t help but feel mildly surprised.
Is it a case of “beggars can’t be choosers” for the hunky star?
