Maricel Soriano

In our most recent chat with Maricel Soriano, we noticed how local Tinseltown’s so-called Diamond Star has become a wee bit more careful with her famous take-no-prisoners approach. If she couldn’t control her disarmingly catty “candor,” she would apologize with a winking conspiratorial quip—and a smile, of course.

When we asked Maria how different Maricel Soriano is now, compared to the Maricel Soriano in the ’80s, she said time has made her “mellower.”

“Hay naku, ang laki-laki ng pagkakaiba!” she said. “Kasi dati, wala akong salitang pinapalagpas. Now, I’m tired of fighting. Hindi na lang ako nagsasalita, except kanina when you mentioned that actress’ name (laughs). May sundot talaga, kaya pasens’ya ka na—hindi ko napigilan, eh (laughs).”

But who’s complaining?
