Solar Entertainment Corp. announces move of JackTV to purely digital platform
Through the years Solar Entertainment Corp. has proven itself an innovator of the Philippine TV industry. This 2020, in order to keep up with the transforming media landscape the company looks to the future as it adapts with the change of viewing habits and the constant progress in technology.
After 14 years on-air, Solar has made the strategic decision to make JackTV an exclusive digital brand, the pioneer in the company’s new and exciting direction. The decision to move the brand to digital was a long process, but looking at the affinity for the channel it is the most coherent move to undertake in order for us to develop the brand. Effective April 1, 2020 JackTV will end it’s broadcast as a cable channel.
Set to blowup cyberspace, get fresh and unconventional digital entertainment fit for the younger market from JackTV on the following platforms: Jacktv.ph, facebook.com/solar.jacktv, twitter.com/jacktv, instagram.com/jacktvnetwork
Solar Entertainment Corp. will focus its attention and strengthen its two homegrown channels; the male skewed Solar Sports and female skewed ETC. Solar Sports will see an expansion in its programming line-up as it will carry some of JackTV’s most popular content that our viewers and advertisers love and follow. The move we see as a way to strengthen the brand and cater to a broader male audience.
