A dream realized for Andrea
Young actress Andrea Brillantes said she was grateful to have become part of the ABS-CBN series “Kadenang Ginto,” which aired its final episode last week.
“Because of the show, I was able to buy a house and lot for my family. Construction will be finished in April. My dream house is 60-percent done,” she happily declared.
“I’ve been acting for nine years now. I started as an ‘extra.’ I didn’t even have my own chair, and I wasn’t made to stay in a tent. But I always knew I wanted to build a house for my family. After all, I grew up living in rented apartments. It’s tough to always be transferring from one home to another,” the 16-year-old actress said.
Blessings
Andrea, who played Marga in “Kadenang Ginto,” said the show helped turn her dream into reality.
“It’s when I became a part of the series that all these blessings started coming my way. I now have endorsements. I’ve prayed for this to happen for a long time. At one point, I felt bad because I thought God wasn’t listening to my prayers,” she recalled.“It turned out that He did have a plan for me, and that I only had to be patient and work hard,” she added. —MARINEL CRUZ
