Corinne Foxx on having the same values as dad Jamie

Model-actress Corinne Foxx recently posted a pic of her with actor dad Jamie at the premiere of her movie, “47 Meters Down: Uncaged,” thanking him for her very existence.

“[I] wouldn’t be here without you, [Jamie Foxx] (literally and figuratively),” wrote the 25-year-old.

Corinne, Jamie’s child with ex-girlfriend Connie Kline, grew up attending Hollywood events with her father. The two are now working together; he hosts the music game show “Beat Shazam,” where she is the DJ.

“I go to Drake concerts with my dad,” Corinne told entertainment site Hollywood Life of their shared music taste. “He would go to a Young Money concert with me in a heartbeat.”

On Jamie giving her acting advice, she recounted, “My dad tells me, ‘[Acting’s] easy, Corinne.’ And I’m like, ‘Dad, that isn’t advice.’ And he’s like, ‘No, really, anyone can do it, it’s easy.’”

Corinne recalled telling her dad, “OK, maybe for you as [an] Oscar winner, but I need more advice than that.”

His values, however, rub off more easily on her. “Even though I was raised in this business, my dad has always encouraged a sense of normalcy, has always valued being humble and taught me those same values,” she said. “Me and my dad, we go to these events all the time, and we’re always starstruck. We’re always confused why we’re in the room… Just keeping that humble nature and always just taking this all for the blessing that it is, that’s his biggest piece of advice.” —OLIVER PULUMBARIT
