Paris Jackson has been candid on social media about her use of marijuana, but inevitably she has her critics.

The 21-year-old model recently shared her case of the munchies, attributing her “spaghetti grilled cheese sandwiches with mozerella (sic)” to marijuana on Tuesday, June 4.

A Twitter user (@largest85) replied, “Druggie. I bet you do meth too. Your dad (Michael Jackson) must be ashamed of you. Degenerate.”

She defended herself by explaining that it is “an organic medicinal plant,” which is legal in the state where she resides, California.

She added that it is prescribed to her for mental health issues like anxiety and depression.

Jackson further explained to other Twitter users about how she uses it for her mental health. She told one @nazreality that her dad would not have opposed it.

“I really doubt he would have a problem with me doing it now, especially as an adult,” she said.  “A very good [doctor] prescribed it to me and it has helped me with my mental issues alot (sic), including helping me find peace.”

She claimed too that it was “not addictive” and that “it’s medicine to me and not an every day (sic) thing.”

Jackson noted that anti-drug group D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) “took it off their list of drugs.” However, on its website, the group maintains a hard stance on marijuana, stating that it is “neither safe nor healthy for students and all children under the age of 18 to use marijuana.”  /ra
