LOOK: Maymay Entrata gets sick on birthday, realizes importance of self-care

“Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7” winner Maymay Entrata counted her blessings despite getting sick on her 22nd birthday last Monday, May 6.

The birthday girl took to Instagram yesterday, May 8, to impart the lessons she learned after getting sick.

“Buti nalang bago ako nagkasakit nakapagpicture [pa ako], (It is a good thing I had photos taken before I got sick,)” Entrata jested. “Pero kahit ganun pa man, (but despite my sickness)  ‘Everything is a blessing.'”

The 22-year-old model admitted that while she did not have a perfect birthday, she learned to take care of her health by taking some time off to rest.

For her birthday wish to herself, Entrata cited the Bible verse Colossians 3:12-14, which is about being “gentle, kind, humble, meek and patient.”

The singer-actress gave a shoutout to her family who she said is always there for her. She also thanked those who sent her birthday greetings, saying, “[Ang] pakiramdam na mahal [niyo ako] ay sapat na sakin (The feeling that you love me is enough for me).”

Among those who greeted the young personality was “Mr. Pure Energy” Gary Valenciano, who posted a birthday message for Entrata on Instagram last May 6.

“Happy happy birthday to one person who I can consider as one of the most joyful people [I have] ever come to meet. God bless you, young one. And with the many more years to come. May you only always be the best God made you to be,” Valenciano said.

Aside from Valenciano, Entrata’s onscreen partner, Edward Barber, also penned her a sweet message, saying, “Every day is a dream with you.” JB
