Jao’s kaleidoscope life

Actor Jao Mapa is holding his major solo exhibit in Antipolo because most of his paintings—like these ones of cheery fruit vendors and a hardy labandera—were inspired by his youth in this idyllic setting. More recent works are enriched by his stint in show biz.

Mostly in oil, some 20 pieces constitute “Old and Recent Works,” opening at the Grey Gallery (2nd Floor, Village Corner, Beverly Hills Subdivision, Ortigas Ave. extension) on March 10 and running until the end of the month.—Bayani San Diego Jr.
