Juan Karlos, December Avenue music videos each earn over 100M YouTube views in 6 months

Music videos by bands December Avenue and Juan Karlos have charted over 100 million views each on YouTube.

The songs “Kung ‘Di Rin Lang Ikaw” by December Avenue featuring Moira Dela Torre now has 115 million views, while “Buwan” by Juan Karlos has over 101 million views as of this wtriting. Both were released in September just two days apart from each other.

Last December, Juan Karlos thanked fans for reaching 40 million views.

Besides the emotions in both songs, what could have lent to the popularity of the videos were the different kinds of love stories that they presented.

“Kung ‘Di Rin Lang Ikaw” gives a view of unrequited love between two friends, while “Buwan” features model Maureen Wroblewitz as vocalist JK Labajo’s lover—or so it seems.

On music streaming app Spotify, both songs have maintained spots in the top 10 of the Philippines Top 50 chart. “Buwan” is currently at the fifth spot, while “Kung ‘Di Rin Lang Ikaw” is at the seventh.  /ra
