Julia Barretto classed it up for her 22nd birthday with a garden party at mom Marjorie Barretto’s home Saturday, March 9. The actress’ birthday is on March 10.

Marjorie said on Friday, March 8 that she worked hard on the theme and venue preparations because Julia would soon be moving out.

“Because Julia feels there’s a lot of reasons to celebrate, and this is her last year living in my home, I will BLOW HER MIND with this one,” she said, noting that she enlisted the help of stylist Gideon Hermosa for an unforgettable celebration.

Julia has regularly held parties in her mom’s garden, but this year stood out with the venue transforming into a vision of the Amalfi Coast, as per Hermosa, with lemon trees and yellow blooms such as tulips and sunflowers.

Julia described it as her “dream destination come to life” in a message to the designer, he stated on his Instagram Stories.

The birthday girl glowed in earth tones with a green crop top and a ruffled brown skirt, and later on wore an all-yellow ensemble.

There to celebrate her special day with her was Joshua Garcia, her rumored boyfriend and love team partner. He held her lemon-topped two-tiered cake as she blew the candles.

To go with the Mediterranean theme, guests were treated to brick oven pizza, a spread of various types of cheese, and catering by Chef Florabel Co-Yatco who is known for her fine Filipino cuisine.

Attendees included “Block Z” co-stars Ian Veneracion, Ina Raymundo and Maris Racal.

Among her friends who attended were Sam Concepcion, Chie Filomeno, Dominic Roque, Pat Sugui and Issa Pressman.

There were performances throughout the night in the intimate star-studded celebration. Fashion designer Rajo Laurel and Karla Estrada sang a duet, Veneracion sang Sting’s “Englishman in New York”, Garcia sang Parokya ni Edgar’s “Harana” while the birthday girl rapped Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass”.
