Xian and Kim’s China trip blooper

It is said that traveling abroad can, at times, end up being a test of relationship for couples. And while Xian Lim and Kim Chiu didn’t experience any real mishap in their recent vacation in the cities of Shanghai, Harbin and Xian in China, they did have their share of “bloopers.”

“Kim, I learned, is really, really hyper; our days are always packed. In our stay in Harbin, she didn’t realize that the tours she booked coincided with each other. And so, four tour guides, with vehicles in tow, arrived at our hotel,” Xian related, laughing, at a press con for his movie, “Hanggang Kailan” (Feb. 6).

“We didn’t have a choice but pay them,” added Xian, who’s more chill when it comes to traveling. “I’m the one who tells her to slow down and absorb the moment.”

Meanwhile, the 29-year-old actor said his visit to Xian—where he got his name—was a memorable experience. “Our tour guide asked for my name and when I said ‘Xian,’ he was so amazed. He wouldn’t believe it until I showed him proof,” he said. “And because of that, I think the treatment we got was even more special.” —ALLAN POLICARPIO
