BLACKPINK set to be the first K-pop girl group to perform in Coachella
MANILA, Philippines — BLACKPINK is set to make history as the first K-pop girl group to perform at the annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

In a tweet on Thursday, Coachella announced the event’s lineup which includes BLACKPINK and headliners Childish Gambino, Tame Impala and Ariana Grande.

The K-pop girl group comprised of Jennie, Rosé, Lisa and Jisoo will be performing at the music festival held in Indio, California on April 12 and 19, 2019.
BLACKPINK, which has yet to perform in the United States, confirmed the news in an Instagram post on Thursday captioned: “Coachella 2019. See you there.”

Article continues after this advertisementBut before heading to California for the music festival, the quartet will hold a concert in the Philippines on February 2, 2019 at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena.
Known for their hits “As If It’s Your Last” and “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” the girl group debuted in 2016 under YG Entertainment. /muf
