Benefit concert for cancer patients

Six affiliated companies of businessman Manny V. Pangilinan are supporting the media benefit concert titled “Bus Stop: Celebrating the JOY of Living” at the Bahay ng Alumni at UP Diliman, Quezon City, on Thursday, with original Pilipino music kings Heber Bartolome, Noel Cabangon and comedian Willie Nepomuceno as lead performers.

PLDT, Smart Communications, Maynilad, Metro Pacific, Meralco and Philex Mining support the concert organized by a group of editors and media practitioners, who form the Thursday Club, to raise funds for cancer patients and the Philippine Cancer Society.

Other sponsors are Globe Telecom, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Petron,  Standard Insurance Inc., Malungai Life Oil, San Miguel Corp., JG Summit, Tanduay, 70s Bistro and Conspiracy Garden Cafe.

Cookie Chua, Bayang Barrios, Jinky Oda, Renz Verano and Radical Change Band will also sing original Pilipino music, according to musical director Cris Mojica.
