Brandon Larracuente in ‘Party of Five’ reboot
The ’90s drama “Party of Five,” about siblings trying to recover from their parents’ death, is getting rebooted with a more contemporary twist.
This time, it’s going to be about Hispanic siblings whose parents are deported to Mexico. Originally, the show starred Neve Campbell, Matthew Fox, Lacey Chabert and Scott Wolf as the orphaned Salinger siblings, and Jennifer Love Hewitt as Wolf’s love interest.
The new show, set to debut on Freeform in the US, will star Brandon Larracuente (“13 Reasons Why”), Emily Tosta, Niko Guardado and Elle Paris Legaspi as the struggling Buendia siblings.
On Instagram, an elated Larracuente shared a screenshot of the report and said in the caption: “Surreal. Truly blessed. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this process. God knows I didn’t get here alone. Can’t wait to bring this beautiful show to life and bring light to this prevalent issue.”—OLIVER PULUMBARIT
