Days after announcing she is pregnant with her second child, Bianca Gonzalez revealed that expecting the second time around was “not a breeze.”

The TV host shared a picture of her appearing tired, stating that it was how she looked “every single day during the first four months of my pregnancy.”

Now 4.5 months pregnant, Gonzalez said she suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum, a condition which includes severe nausea, vomiting and weight loss.

“It wasn’t morning sickness nor evening sickness, it was all day, all night sickness,” she said, sharing that she vomited up to 10 times a day and lost 9 pounds in the process.

Despite her condition, she still attended work and other social events.

“None of them had any idea that my bathroom breaks would be to vomit. I would always bring wipes and mouthwash everywhere I went,” she said.

“Apparently Kate Middleton and Ayesha Curry both had it just recently (pampalubag loob ko (a consolation for me) lol),” she quipped on her little comfort that the Duchess of Cambridge and NBA star Stephen Curry’s wife could relate to her.

She said her first pregnancy with daughter Lucia was nothing like this. “It was so effortless, I didn’t feel any uneasiness at all.”

Though hyperemesis gravidarum has no known cause, it is associated with higher hormone levels. Gonzalez’ OB assured her “that my nausea was a sign that my pregnancy hormones are strong, therefore, good for the baby.”

She said she currently vomits only up to three times a day now and “can eat a bit better.”

Many sympathized with her predicament, including Rain or Shine star Chris Tiu and TV host Kelly Misa.

“Hoping these symptoms disappear soon. I was like that for the entire first trimester of my pregnancy. I super feel ya!” said Misa.

Tiu encouraged Gonzalez and said his wife had the same experience. “Kaya mo yan (You can do it). Same thing with Cla on the second pregnancy.”

Gonzalez, who is married to PBA player JC Intal, noted the coincidence that she is the latest among the basketball wives’ who are expecting.

“Little did I know at sina Mark’s [Barroca] wedding I was beside Cla and Mic [Cazzola], ako na din pala ka-batch (I was also pregnant)!”

Michela Cazzola is also expecting her second child with boyfriend James Yap, while Tiu’s wife Clarisse gave birth to their second child last February. JB
