Network wars truly exist only on television as ABS-CBN’s Charo Santos-Concio goes on fan mode over Asia’s Songbird and longtime Kapuso talent Regine Velasquez-Alcasid.
In an Instagram post on Friday, May 4, the ABS-CBN executive posted a photo of them together. But what captured the netizens who saw the post was her caption, “a photo with the SONGBIRD. YAAAAAAS!!!”
As if a fan girl who had her wish granted, Concio’s joy on seeing the power belter was apparent.

Because of their meet up, some netizens could not help but request for another MMK (Maalaala Mo Kaya) episode for the songbird.
The songbird first appeared on the long-running drama anthology in 2002 for an episode titled “Lobo.”
The episode that she top-billed with Kapamilya heartthrob Piolo Pascual turned out to be one of the program’s highest rating episodes throughout its history.
Velasquez’s performance even won her a best acting award from the 2002 PMPC Star Awards for Television. /atm
