Cute charmer blames controversial star for setbacks

12:15 AM May 02, 2018

What’s this we hear that Coquettish Kewpie is livid with Controversial Stalwart?

Apparently CK is under the impression that CS is not a genuine supporter. That CS has been undermining CK’s efforts.

To be fair, CK has benefited immensely from CS’ largesse. Alas, CK made some pretty questionable decisions in the past.

But why blame CS for those missteps?

FEATURED STORIES

Well, CS can be a tad competitive. But will CS go to such great lengths and throw a monkey wrench into CK’s well-laid plans?

Hmmm . . .

You know what they say about crooks hating fellow thieves?

Menacing Insider is spewing out venom against Malevolent Fiend online.

Curiously, MI is purportedly guilty of the same crime as MF, who has been accused of being a serial abuser.

In the past, MI got in trouble for harassing a naïve newcomer whose relatives turned out to be quite enterprising.

They demanded a hefty settlement from MI, who had no choice but to comply asap.

Mischievous Comrade bailed MI out of the sticky situation.

Boo-boo

Is Controversial Gadfly being careless? Or perhaps CG is simply clueless about the rules in the biz?

CG was spotted patronizing a certain popular product. Problem is, CG is supposed to be the endorser of a rival brand.

According to defenders, CG didn’t buy the item. It was brought by a loyal friend.

Still, CG’s camp should’ve been more discerning and discreet. Well, it seems not all the money in the world can buy prudence.

Grease lightning

It’s hardly shocking that Boisterous Celebrity is acting up, big-time.

Rumor has it that BC’s cohort, Affable Benefactor, is about to get hit by a devastating blow.

No wonder BC is busy greasing up Defiant Rake. Is BC hoping DR would go easy on AB?

Or is BC on the verge of a nervous breakdown? Your guess is as good as ours.

Moody days

From the Inquirer tabloid Bandera:

Coworkers suspect Dramatic Artist is in the middle of a major meltdown.

DA has been behaving strangely of late.

There are days DA is amiable and effusive, gabbing with peers on the set all day. But there are also times DA chooses to hide in the dressing room—ignoring everyone in the studio.

DA’s mood swings are hard to predict.

Once the cameras start grinding, however, coworkers can’t help but be amazed by DA’s talent and virtuosity.

Top of the show biz news

For those who missed last weekend’s show biz news on TV (and why we are moved, if we are moved):

Maricel Soriano, asked if acting still makes her nervous: “Kung wala ’yun hindi maganda performance mo!” (Korek!)

Maricel on why she’s not on social media: “Ayoko ng away … Dapat positive. Bakit ba ang hilig nila sa away-away na ’yan?” (Taray Queen speaks.)

Billy Crawford on what he’s looking forward to, now that he’s married to Coleen Garcia: “I want to experience everything: the good, bad, everything.” (Even the … ugly?)

Billy Crawford (left) and Coleen Garcia

Coleen on the same topic: “Hoping for more time together, to really get to know each other as husband and wife.” (Sings: Getting to know you …)

Cole Sprouse on the places he wants to visit next time he’s here: “My original plan was to travel to the islands … I would really love to visit Siquijor.” (Hmmm …)

Vilma Santos’ birthday wish for son Luis Manzano: “I don’t want to meddle or impose. He’s 37 now, if he’s ready na, it’s about time. Kung hindi pa, huwag rin muna!” (Safe answer.)

Luis, asked if he’s ready to settle down with Jessy Mendiola: “Ready na. Hopefully soon. I’m not getting any younger.” (’Yun naman pala … Ready na raw, Ate Vi!)

Sunshine Cruz on one of her proudest moments: “Finishing my studies. I had to do it, not only for myself, but for my kids.” (Go, gurl!)

Kris Aquino on doing a Star Cinema movie: “My ate really gave me a pep talk … What if I disappoint? And she said: ‘Ano ka ba, ngayon ka pa ba matatakot?’” (Horror movie ba ito?)

Marco Gumabao on indecent proposals: “Walang harap-harapan. Marami sa Instagram, pero ’di ko na lang pinapansin.” (The perils of social media.)

(The voice of experience.)

Derrick Monasterio on what it means to be a hunk: “Being comfortable in your own body. You can take off your shirt any time.” (Is now a good time?)
