Kanye West ‘loves’ Donald Trump, slams Barack Obama—radio jock

Kanye West returned to Twitter this April and it has been interesting, to say the least. There are platitudes (“Be fearless. Express what you feel not what you’ve been programmed to think.”) and there are opinions that only someone with his privilege can utter (“I really love my Tesla. I’m in the future. Thank you Elon.”).
But the rapper struck a chord when he praised a conservative commentator: “I love the way Candace Owens thinks.”
Owens has called Black Lives Matter, an activist movement against systemic racism, as “victim mentality,” calling protestors “whiny toddlers.”
According to radio jock Ebro Darden of hip-hop station Hot 97, he and West exchanged barbs on the matter in a private conversation on Instagram. West then called during his radio show “Ebro in the Morning,” but mainly answered the DJ’s questions with “I love you” and insisted that they talk off-air.
Darden recounted their exchange in the following radio show, claiming that West “loves” US President Donald.
After Darden supposedly told him off for being out of touch with reality, West is said to have replied, “How am I not in touch? Nobody’s fixing what’s going on in Chicago.”
Even after the DJ named people, including artists who have been helping the state where West grew up, the “Famous” singer said, “Well I reached out to Obama for years and I couldn’t get anything done. And Trump gave me a meeting.”
The rapper also claimed to feel “demonized” for thinking differently. He concluded with “I do love Donald Trump.”
“Kanye West, quote: ‘I love Donald Trump,’” said Darden.
In 2009, former US President Barack Obama was caught calling West a “jackass” after interrupting Taylor Swift’s MTV Video Music Award’s speech.
In 2016, West declared he would have voted for Trump even if he hadn’t joined the polls. Despite Trump calling Haiti and African countries “shitholes” last January, it seems he still has West’s vote. Niña V. Guno /ra
