Anne Curtis and Dingdong Dantes flew to Tokyo, Japan last week to shoot some scenes of their latest film, “Sid and Aya (Not a Love Story)” under director Irene Villamor, whose other works include romance blockbusters “Meet Me in St. Gallen”, “Camp Sawi” and “Everything About Her”.

This is the first time the two actors have been paired in a movie together, as Dantes is an exclusive talent of GMA Network whereas Curtis hails from rival network ABS-CBN Corporation.

Their trip to Tokyo, Japan also proved to be a ticking of the box in Dantes’ bucket list, as he shared on his Instagram two days ago that it is his first time to go to another country for a shoot.

“In my 20 years in the entertainment industry, ngayon lang ako nakapag-shoot ng movie sa ibang bansa (this is my first time to shoot a movie outside the country),” wrote Dantes. “I am lucky to have worked with this efficient, ingenious and talented skeletal 20(plus)-man team of Sid and Aya. Ibang klase talaga ang Pinoy (Filipinos are really extraordinary).”

Dantes then shared pictures of him with the crew of the movie enjoying the sights of neon-lit Tokyo.

Seemingly still on a high after getting back to Manila, Curtis couldn’t help but express her excitement for the film, despite the hectic and freezing shooting schedule they faced in Tokyo.

“We got everything done and smooth sailing and fun at that. Ahhhhh the visuals of this film are something else. I tell you! 2 more Manila days and then we’re done!!! Can’t wait for all of you to enter the unconventional world of Sid and Aya. Kwento ni (story of) Direk @akosiayrin. Hindi typical pero totoo (not typical but true).” JB
