Yeng Constantino’s tips to aspiring singer-songwriters
“You have to know yourself well. You have to figure out what inspires or triggers you, which differs from one songwriter to another. You also have to try different types of songwriting methods until you find something that works for you and helps you find your core,” said music artist Yeng Constantino when asked for her advice to young aspiring singer-songwriters.
Yeng, who’s set to release her sixth studio album, “Synesthesia,” later this year, added: “I’m a very emotional person. If I feel and experience something extreme, that’s when the melodies come out—I start hearing them, sometimes along with the words.” —ALLAN POLICARPIO
