Meet Walter, Bea Alonzo’s adorable pup who conquers her fear of dogs
It was love at first sight for Bea Alonzo. His name is Walter White, but he’s not the protagonist of TV show “Breaking Bad.”
The “A Love to Last” actress introduced Walter, a small bundle of white fur—possibly a Maltese—in an Instagram post where she recounted her longstanding fear of man’s (and woman’s) best friend.
“When I was 6 years old I was trapped inside a dog house,” she recalled, as she had chosen it as a hiding spot while playing with her cousins.
However, she ended up being attacked by the house’s resident, “who had just given birth and was disturbed by the naughty little girl.”
She said she had since feared dogs until she received the puppy from a “nice guy” whom she did not name.
She revealed that Walter’s and her first encounter wasn’t so smooth. “I swear I screamed the first time I saw the puppy! I think I scared the heck out of him!”

“I have not experienced this kind of love before.. love for animals,” said Alonzo. “I know I will learn a lot from this journey.” /ra
