LOOK: Mark Ruffalo admires Filipino-made ‘Hulk’ doll made from ‘tsinelas’
Believe it or not, this #Hulk doll is made out of recycled tsinelas (that’s tagalog for flip-flops). Elmer Padilla made this for me so I just wanted to give a nice shoutout. Not only is this inventively creative, but it’s sustainable and just pure awesome! Thank you Elmer! pic.twitter.com/JiA4E91LjZ

Mark Ruffalo is used to receiving “The Hulk”-inspired artworks from his fans, but this latest one may be the most unique for him.
In his official Twitter account, the 49-year-old actor—who gives life to the affable green giant—gave a shoutout to Filipino fan Elmer Padilla for sending him a “Hulk” action figure made out of worn-out rubber slippers.
“Believe it or not, this #Hulk doll is made out of recycled tsinelas (that’s tagalog for flip-flops),” the actor wrote, alongside a photo of himself with the creative toy.
“Elmer Padilla made this for me so I just wanted to give a nice shoutout. Not only is this inventively creative, but it’s sustainable and just pure awesome! Thank you Elmer!” the Hollywood A-lister added, which has been re-tweeted over 2,000 times.
Padilla, meanwhile, has been slowly making a name for himself online, showing images of his work on his Instagram page, @elmerboytsinelas.
Aside from working on the gamma ray-powered hero, the youngster has also created several comic book- inspired figures including “Wolverine,” “Deadpool” and Hulk’s Avenger’s mate “Thor.” /ra
