Nadine Lustre to join James Reid in ‘Pedro Penduko’ movie

Just as fans thought James Reid and Nadine Lustre would go their separate ways for the moment, Lustre’s involvement in Reid’s newest movie “Pedro Penduko” has been confirmed.

In a recent video post by Viva Entertainment, film director Paul Basinillo confirmed that the actress would be joining the movie cast. Her role, however, has yet to be revealed.

“We should expect that it’s gonna be James, pero si Nadine kasama din siya dun,” (…Nadine will also be there) Basinillo said.

Reid has started training for his fight scenes. Actors who played Pedro Penduko include Efren Reyes Sr. and Ramon Zamora. However, the iconic character reached the height of fame when it was given life by singer-comedian Janno Gibbs, who did two versions of the film. Kapamilya actor Matt Evans took Pedro Penduko from the big screen to the television through the hit series “Da Adventures of Pedro Penduko.”

Unlike other superheroes, Pedro Penduko is a normal human being but has exceptional resourcefulness and wit in battling evil forces. He is aided by an amulet that he uses to fight his enemies. /ra
