Baron Geisler faces charges for ‘unruly behavior’ in QC restaurant
The Quezon City Office of the Prosecutor ordered on Tuesday the filing of charges against actor Baron Geisler for causing a commotion in a restaurant in Quezon City.
Assistant City Prosecutor Marizen Grutas ordered the filing of unjust vexation and alarm and scandal charges against the actor.
“There is probable cause for the filing of unjust vexation and alarm and scandal considering that respondent was actually seen by the complainant committing the acts complained of at TGIF, and intent to vex and annoy was apparent as shown in the sworn statement,” Grutas said in the resolution.
Geisler’s lawyer, Jay Sangalang, said his client was ordered to post bail amounting to P4,000, but would have to check yet if the camp could post bail on Tuesday as government work was suspended due to nationwide transport strike.
According to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), Geisler has a standing warrant of arrest issued by the Lapu-Lapu City Municipal Trial Court on July 28, 2017 for smoking on board a plane, violating the Civil Aviation Act (Republic Act No. 94970.

“If there is a new case that they are saying, we will file a bail. It’s a matter of posting the bail,” he said.
According to the blotter report of QCPD Police Station 10, Geisler has long been banned in all branches of TGI Fridays Restaurants for his “unruly behavior,” especially when under influence of alcohol.
But out of courtesy, the general manager of TGI Fridays Tomas Morato, Nora Quilang, who one of the complainants, allowed Geisler to enter the restaurant at around 9 p.m.
Suddenly, Geisler shouted at customers: “Bakla! B****** ko kayo, p***** i** mo, p***** i** niyo!”
The security guard, Edward Evangelista, another complainant, tried to pacify Geisler. But instead, the actor challenged him into a fistfight, saying: “P***** i*** mo, ano! Suntukan tayo dito!”
The restaurant management then called the authorities, who arrested Geisler and detained him at Police Station 10, which is on Edsa near the corner of Kamuning Road.
In a chance interview with Geisler, he said being arrested was way better “kesa ma-tokhang” [than to be operated under Oplan Tokhang], apparently in reference to the killings linked to the the Duterte administration’s anti-illegal drug war. /atm
