When Inquirer asked actor Jerome Ponce how he would rate himself as a son, his candor caught us by surprise. He gave himself a grade of 6.

“Honestly, I am not close to my family,” said Jerome, who has been receiving rave reviews for his performance in the new ABS-CBN drama series, “The Good Son.”

“I chose to live on my own,” the actor added. “I should have given myself a 4. But, I’ve learned a lot as I got older. My mom and dad have long separated—and I’m sincerely happy for them. I’m thankful that they have raised me well, despite the difficult circumstances.”—MARINEL CRUZ
