Arnell Ignacio
Comedian Arnell Ignacio expressed his wish as a new member of the executive committee of the Metro Manila Film Festival. “I truly hope that, with my humble experience in government, I can help find a balance between the sublime purpose of art and the sustaining power of business, so that both can coexist effectively, without one overpowering the other. Sana hindi maging pangarap lang. (I hope that it doesn’t remain a dream).”
Ignacio is one of the three new execom members—along with Quezon City Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte and filmmaker Maryo J. delos Reyes. Ignacio also serves as assistant vice president for community relations and services of the Philippine Gaming Corp. (Pagcor).—BAYANI SAN DIEGO JR.
