Charice, partner Alyssa Quijano separate—reports
Charice Pempengco and her live-in partner Alyssa Quijano have reportedly called it quits.
Pempengco’s handler Carl Cabral confirmed the split to ABS-CBN following a Pilipino Star Ngayon report indicating that Quijano was sighted leaving Pempengco’s apartment carrying packed bags last week.
Cabral said, “Yes, Charice and Alyssa have broken up and it was a mutual decision. Charice is not accepting any interviews and now taking a break. She’s doing fine and she’s happy.” Likewise, Cabral refuted rumors that the “Pyramid” singer is currently living with a close friend in Laguna. “The rumor that Charice is living with the fan is not true. She has bought her own house,” he told the news site.
Pempengco’s career has floundered over the past few years and she was even embroiled in a bitter fracas with her mother, Raquel Pempengco. She temporarily left the limelight last month through several tweets. “I can’t anymore. I’m over it,” she wrote. “Happy for what I’ve achieved, for what I’ve become, for making people happy. I’ll just leave it like that. I’m tired now.”
